When I entered college, my roommate and I found there were a lot of things to do. We studied very hard every day and had no time to relax. We used to sit still in library or classroom all day and gradually we became fatter and fatter. We had a good performance in our study and also won the scholarship and prize from school, but we found it is very hard for us to have a girl friend, simply because we were badly out of shape. So we decided to go to gym daily.
We found out later that this was not a good idea. Once classes were done on the first day, we walked briskly to the gym. Once there, we were taught all the basics from warming up to cooling down. We were then given various programs so that we wouldn’t crowd the equipment and end up having to queue. While this was a good idea, we later realized there was still a problem. Being in the same room with friends, you cannot help but talk to each other and even make jokes. The entire thing was a failure from the start. We couldn’t concentrate on our tasks because we kept making fun of each other and talking with one another.
When I returned home, I was tired and disappointed. We did not have a right workout method. When I was surfing the internet, however, I came across a wonderful thing. It was the P90x workout program. It was being sold online and in a set of 13 DVDs. I was fascinated by the things that the preview showed.
Once I got it, I found it to be very useful. The workouts could be done at home and meant that no friends could distract you. It was also easy to follow the routines because the instructor was very explicit with the explanation. The program also lasted 90 days and had a rigorous schedule prepared. It was scary at first but after the first few days, I found it quite alright. If ever you had difficulty or needed help with anything, there was an online customer support service offered as well. You can’t beat that.
Once I was done with the program, my friends were at a loss for words. They said I wasn’t anywhere near the gym and yet I had surpassed their bodies improvements. I only said one word to them, a word made up of four letters. P90x!
