The Effect of pH in our Body
Protecting our body from viruses, bacteria, and fungus is always our goal in order to avoid it from acquiring illnesses that could result into serious health issues. When our body is not healthy it is easy for it to become weak, which could affect your life. The key for better life always starts with the food that we eat that’s why it is always recommended to eat only those that are nutritious and healthy for the body. We are obliged to have a balanced pH because if not it could seriously cause damage in our body.
Potential hydrogen or pH was invented by Sren Srensen in 1909, which usually used for agricultural purposes in order to test the acidity of a soil and its alkalinity. The process works by measuring the ability or the inability of soil as well as liquid to attract hydrogen ions. If the soil contains enough mineral it means that it can grow plants and produce fruits.
Aside from the importance of pH in agricultural procedure, it is also important that our body must acquire balance pH. We all should be concern with the level of pH in our body because once it is imbalance it could be very risky. Our pH should have a measure of 1.0-6.9 acid, 7.0 neutral, and 7.1-14.0 alkaline. Once the result of the measured pH is more than this level it would mean that our body is in danger of acquiring diseases.
You can take note of the effect of too much acid and alkaline from the surrounding wherein it could be very dangerous. For example the pollution on the lake can be the result of too much alkaline and the forest can be destroyed with too much acid rain. Just think of this effect on how can these two elements becomes so dangerous in our body when it can cause devastation on our environment.
Our diet is the main reason why our body could have an imbalanced pH level. It is considered to have a greater influence on the level of our pH especially if we are not used to having healthy meals. We all know how important it is to have healthy diet and we should be responsible in eating the right food daily.
Acid-forming foods can be acquired by eating right amount of carbohydrates and those that are rich in protein. Eggs, fish, and poultry products are known to have a lot of protein while carbohydrates can be acquired from eating pastas, grains, and breads. On the other hand, alkaline-forming foods can easily be found from eating fruits and vegetables. Keeping our body healthy and fit can be tough but it is still the best way to live long.
